International Black Sea Day in Plovdiv

We mark the International Day of the Black Sea - Green Balkans, Regional Museum of Natural History - Plovdiv and WIND2WIN.
Welcome to the Regional Museum of Natural History - Plovdiv on November 1st.

Program of the event:


5:00 pm - Fun games and art workshops for the little ones
6:30 pm - Quiz with prizes
18:45 - Why are we celebrating the Black Sea Day?
19:00 - Our special guests from the team of WIND2WIN - Atanas Kutsev and Maria Angelova, will present the challenge of the cause "Black Sea, free from plastic"
19:15 - Screening of the documentary "WIND2WIN - The Sea of the Wind"
The film presents the story of two surfers and their unconventional way of drawing our attention to the problem of plastic pollution of the Black Sea - crossing it on surf from Durankulak to Rezovo.

October 23, 2019 marks the 23rd anniversary of the official adoption of measures to combat marine pollution and the signing of the Strategic Action Plan for the Restoration and Conservation of the Black Sea by the Representations of the six Black Sea States - Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine.
In 1996, the governments of the Black Sea countries recognized that pollution of our common sea posed risks for all border countries.
