The amazing creatures of Borneo
The director of the Regional Museum of Natural History - Plovdiv Assistant Professor Ognyan Todorov will present the first presentation for 2020 entitled "The Amazing Creatures of Borneo Island".
In the summer of 2019, he and Svetozara Kazandjieva (PhD student in zoology, PR and tour guide) were part of an international expedition to Borneo Island, where they had the chance to experience the extraordinarily high biodiversity of tropical rain forests. The island is home to the oldest jungles on Earth, numerous endemic and endangered species.
On 01/16/2020 (Thursday) from 6:30 pm Assistant Prof. Ognyan Todorov, will present at the Planetarium of the Museum the most interesting animal and plant species that he captured during a one-month expedition in this remote and unknown place for most of us.
The lecturer, in addition to being the director of the Museum of Natural History in Plovdiv, is an entomologist, professor, manager of scientific and environmental projects, photographer, a person with extensive knowledge in the field of natural sciences.
The event is free to enter and continues the tradition of the museum for the promotion of science among the citizens and guests of Plovdiv.
