The Regional Natural History Museum of Plovdiv

The purpose of the museum is to promote research within the field of natural history and to make the public aware of the scientific results within this area.
Exposition
The museum’s exposition includes more than 20,000 different species from all over the world. Showcases, aquariums and terrariums are designed to reflect their natural habitats.
Sea Aquarium
The marine aquarium consists of 6 aquariums with a total volume around 7500 liters.
Mammals
The exposition in the Mammals Hall is arranged in two modules – bulgarian fauna and exotic species.
Planetarium
The digital planetarium was built in 2015 by the American company Evans & Sutherland, a world leader in the field.
