The Natural History Museum is waiting for the little ones during the weekend at the “Young Entomologist 2” event.

Due to the great interest in the “Young Entomologist” event held in 2022, the Regional Museum of Natural History – Plovdiv is once again inviting the children and their parents over the weekend – on January 21 and 22, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., when it will take place ” Young Entomologist 2″.

How can you participate in the event?

Regular and inquisitive children already know that entomology is a branch of biology that studies insects. You will have the opportunity to join the event after visiting the Regional Museum of Natural History exhibit.

What to expect from the event?

Talk on “Entomology” led by a curator Tropic hall with a time on both days 10:30 a.m. Anyone who wants to learn more about insects can wait in the lobby of the museum 5 minutes before the start of the talk.

An expert from the museum will visually demonstrate the process of preparing different types of butterflies grown in the “Tropic” hall. They are waiting for you there from 11:00 am. until 16:00, as demonstrations will be held every round hour.

“Our friends – the insects” is a workshop for coloring favorite characters from children’s films for the little ones;

You will have the opportunity to see the largest and most valuable butterfly in the world – Ornithoptera alexandrae, which will be exhibited in the exhibition of the “Invertebrates” hall.

And one more important thing! All children who participate in the event will receive a special gift – a beautiful butterfly wing.
